The Location & Goals
The town of Hwange is located in the Hwange District, in North-Western Zimbabwe.
The project’s goals is to primarily reach youth in the three Districts of Hwange, Gokwe and Bulawayo; we also hope to reach youth in the entire Matabeleland North Province.
The mission of the institute is to promote youth inclusion by providing accommodation, professional training, and greater educational opportunities through the expansion and strengthening of the Don Bosco Technical College and its programs.
Together with the knowledge and skills, the College will be a real center for human, and Christian maturity, embracing an atmosphere of a family spirit holding honesty and responsibility as ideals.
The Project
The beneficiaries of the project are the young unemployed, aged between 15 and 25 years, who live in conditions of poverty and social exclusion, especially in the rural areas of the region.
Indirectly, the project will benefit the local micro-economy and the people with the highest risk of poverty, guaranteeing quality and oriented education, favoring their integration, and consequently increasing the ability to earn income.
The college will be constructed in the km 327 along Bulawayo Road, there the Salesians of Don Bosco received 29 hectares of land donated by the Government of Zimbabwe to set-up the project.
The school will have a dual academic-technical curriculum. Students will take standard academic courses mandated by the Department of Education.

As part of this journey, our contribution takes form through the construction of two new student dormitories, safe spaces that will allow young people from rural areas to live on campus, avoiding long and challenging daily journeys to school.
THE FIRST STONE
For us, this project is more than just a commitment on paper. We were on site for the laying of the foundation stone, feeling the energy of the moment, witnessing the first tangible steps, and seeing the hope and enthusiasm in the eyes of everyone involved.
We chose to be present, to actively contribute, and to accompany step by step the growth of a place that will give many young people the chance to build their own future.
